Rev. 8/01/11 Summer Work Camp to Finger Lakes - 2011 During the hottest week in July, eleven First Pres Youth (Mia Robinson, Mackenzie Robinson, Sam Rogers, Eleanor Haase, Emma Eisenbraun, Jason Scarlett, Ekong Takor, Jamie Kim, Annabel Lewis, Margaret Leupold, and Elizabeth Leupold) and three First Pres adult leaders (Mary Ryther, Dave Haase, and Christy D'Ambrosio) arrived at the Junior-Senior High School in Lyons, New York, ready for an adventure. We joined almost 400 youth and approximately 50 adults at this site. Together we ate, slept, danced, sang, worshipped, and divided into groups to go out into the community every day to paint, stain, shingle roofs, and do various construction projects.     Mackenzie Robinson and Margaret Leupold led our 14 participants in daily devotionals every night after the evening program.   Annabel Lewis happily worked hard at her construction site. Is it measure twice, cut once, or measure once, cut twice?       Jamie Kim, pictured at left with her work crew, made some great new friends.       Emma, Elizabeth, Eleanor, and Mia exemplify the bonding that occurred within our First Pres youth group. Deep friendships were reinforced. We also had a lot of FUN! We can't wait until next year!
