Neo-videographer Dick Gascoyne unveiled a half-hour summary of what we are all about, at a special presentation on Sunday, March 5, 2006 - utilizing our new digital projector We Are God's People provides an energetic look at the many faces, programs and pursuits of our congregation. Views and videos span an entire church year at First Pres. With apologies to Ken Burns (and the Civil War), Dick Gascoyne blended still photos by Tim O'Toole et al., with live recordings of First Presbyterian services and activities - notably our Liturgical Dancers (who continue to demonstrate how limber and graceful they are).   Our Mission Statement speaks of our role in serving all generations, and all walks of life - helping those in need with individual and group efforts.     Our Gifts and Accomplishments rightly begins with a look at the cared-for and talented children of First Presbyterian - our major donation to the world in the 21st century.   If you would like to learn a bit about Our Theological Perspective, you are invited to attend our services and classes every Sunday morning. The coffee's not bad either!   Our Staffing and Program Needs reflects our current personnel, budget and program activities. We have managed to do more with less, but would like to do more with more - more members that is. Our Pastoral Vision speaks of the past AND the future. From the time Alexander Hamilton dropped by, or past governors and senators, to the time you will enter our door. Our long history requires us to maintain and fortify our foothold of sacred space a stone's throw from the halls of power. Roll the Credits - in addition to all those named for their involvement in First Pres - like the Pastor Nominating Committee, liturgical dancers, choir, staff, education committee, elders and deacons, give yourself some credit too. You are the reason we are here, and will be here for years to come!
