OCTOBER 2004
LITURGICAL DANCE
Who said Presbyterian's can't dance? On October 3, an octet of
gracious and graceful ladies presented an array of fresh-baked
breads, indicative of God's generosity with sun and soil. |

The New York City Ballet may have competition at SPAC next Summer.
While Choir and congregation sang (in awe), an able eight,
choreographed by June Klimash, moved with the music, connecting our
left brains and right brains in a fascinating tribute to our Creator
and Redeemer. Were they inspired by the Third Person of the Trinity?

STEWARDSHIP LUNCHEON
 |
The Mike & Ellie Show
A perennial crowd-pleaser. This year's tongue-in-cheek edition
featured Mike Attwell as a transported Texan, drawn to First Pres by
our stellar website. Eleanor Rice fills in for our new secretary (see
newsletter), fielding his preposterous questions.
More Light is not a Lager, Mike! |

Endowment Fund
Bob Stevens presented an in-depth look at First Presbyterian's
Endowment Fund. This year "living giving" is an
increasingly important part of our budget.
Since rainy days can appear without warning, The Session decided to
freeze next year's contribution from the Endowment at the 2004 level.
This year's Stewardship Campaign is a "relay race" of
sorts, as members pass on pledge kits in door-to-door fashion. |

Food For Thought
Lasagna, bread, salad and Italian cookies recharged our bodies, as
our brains prepared to wrestle with numbers that represent First
Presbyterian's involvement in the community, the nation, and the
world.
