CROP WALK

May 2nd (the first Sunday in May) should be a very promising day. Promising for those who like to walk out in the fresh air and sunshine (remember them?), and promising for ChurchWorldService.org supporters who walked their way to $886,527 in donations - fighting hunger in 148 communities.

Last year, the Albany CROP WALK was upstate New York's largest, involving over 500 walkers, who skipped, strolled and jogged their way to $65,059 in donations! (Source: cwscrop.org)

Note to the joggers - no fast food was purchased with these funds.

In her research she has focused attention on a wide range of religious groups and their systems of theological education.

She is co-author of “Being There: Culture and Formation in Two Theological Schools” (Oxford University Press).

Barbara Wheeler is on the Presbyterian Church (USA) General Assembly's task force on the Peace, Unity and Purity of the Church.

Working collaboratively with experts on Roman Catholic theological education and rabbinical education, she has also published studies of seminary faculty, students, and the public presence of theological schools and religious leaders.
