JUNE 2005
June is always a busy month at First Presbyterian. It's hard to
believe that with the early Summer swelter, the season of picnics,
pool parties and baseball games would not arrive until the wee hours
of June 21st.
Here are highlights of a busy month:

Sunday, June 12
While guest conductor Jack Holmes led the Choir in its last anthem of
the season, our More Light committee proudly participated in
Albany's annual Pride Parade. Click here

Sunday, June 19
Another "double feature" for our congregants after the
10:45 service. First Presbyterian's Deacons officiated at our annual Strawberry
Festival.
Then Laura Sharp directed the Chapel Choir in a musical retelling of
Daniel in the lions' den. |

Rescue in the Night (by Allen Pote and Tom Long) whimsically
portrayed the conspiracy in King Darius's court. Astrofar, Taxalot
and Crushafo (whose names never made it into the Old Testament for
some reason) contrived to throw Daniel into a lions' den for alleged
disloyalty to earthly authority.

this historical (or is that hysterical) event from our young and
exuberant thespians. (Costuming by Roseline Takor; accompaniment
