SEPTEMBER 10, 2006
Every year, there is that special day in September when we regroup
from Summer vacation, energized and raring to go. This year it is
September 10 which is the kickoff of our new season of faith and
worship, service and fellowship.

And 2006 is a special year for First Presbyterian. Besides our annual Homecoming
Sunday - with picnic in the park (following our 9:30 service),
this year we also rejoice in the Installation of our new Co-Pastors. |

Rev. Doctor Miriam Lawrence Leupold and Rev. Glenn Leupold
will be installed as our new Co-Pastors by the Albany Presbytery on
Sunday, at the 9:30 service. Click here

Miriam is a graduate of the College of William and Mary and
received her Master of Divinity degree from Princeton Theological
Seminary, and her Doctor of Ministry from Columbia Theological
Seminary, Decatur GA.

Glenn is a graduate of the University of Minnesota and
received his Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary.
The Leupolds had been associate pastors of Westminster Presbyterian
Church, Dayton, Ohio since 1994.
Participating in the installation will be the Rev. Amy J. Snedeker,
Director of Clinical Pastoral Education at Advocate
Good Samaritan Hospital, Downers Grove, IL; Denise Wright Ingram,
pastor of Honey
Creek Presbyterian Church, New Carlisle, OH; Rev. Paul Randall,
Rev. Cass Shaw, and Elder Dwight Smith, Albany
Presbytery, as well as other pastors and elders.
Following the service there will be a reception and picnic in
Washington Park across from the church. Bring a friend. |
