YOUTH GROUP
A Moveable Feast

Under Nancy Samson's expert guidance, the Youth Group prepared Jambalaya, Spice Cake and Salad for the guests of the overflow shelter at First Lutheran.

They met before AND after the service on Sunday to prepare the ingredients: chicken, sausage, rice, bell peppers, onions and Nancy Samson's special blend of Louisiana seasonings.

Youth Group members Hannah, Chenusa, Annie, Waaik, Dustin and Joe assembled the main dish, jambalaya, a salad with fresh grape tomatoes contributed by the Christian Education Committee, and spice cakes for dessert.

The smell of great food as well as the sight of our youth in action (demolishing a chicken, above) drew others into the kitchen to see what was going on.

Peter Thomas took the opportunity to successfully invite the group to participate in the Crop Walk on May 2nd.

Annette Johnson recruited assistance with Coffee Hour and was joined by Waaik at the table.

EASTER SUNDAY BREAKFAST

Plan now to attend the Youth Group's annual culinary offering - served in the Rose Room from 9:00 am until 10:30 am on Easter morning, April 11.

Your donations will help defray their Work Camp trip to Atlantic City, NJ later this month (no, the casinos are not on their itinerary).

Delicious quiches, scrambled eggs, banana bread, bagels, and smiling faces will await you. What's more >

when you return home from Church after a glorious Easter service, you won't have to face any dirty dishes!
