BLACK HISTORY MONTH
Every February, we take time to reflect on the unique heritage,
arduous journey and daily struggles of those who came to America
under less than ideal circumstances. This year we were honored to
commence that exploration with a remarkable guest to our pulpit.
|
Rev. Joseph Shook (left) had the challenging task of summing up the
life work of world traveler /educator/ evangelist/ foster parent Elaine
Rose Penn. |
 |
|
Rev. Penn is a doctoral candidate at State University of NY
(Binghamton) - abd means she still has a lot of work cut out
for her - though her boundless energy and sound mind should be up for
the challenge. If you missed her sermon on Forgiveness, we
forgive you, unconditionally! |
|
But can you forgive yourself if you missed the first of two special
luncheons featuring ethnic cuisine with roots in the African
Diaspora? |
 |
|
We will give you a second chance on Sunday February 26. Bring a
friend, or make one. |
