LAMB WINDOW REPAIR BEGINS

At long last, work has begun on repairs and improvements to our priceless windows. Contractors at right prepare the retaining rings which will hold new plexiglass covers in place (replacing the weathered and yellowed lexan covers).

All First Presbyterian windows will benefit from this effort, the most dramatic being restoration of the Lamb Window (below)

Sturdy scaffolding, steady hands, and painstaking attention to detail are all called for. No pun intended.

    Now You See It

    Now You Don't

Damage and warping of the key element of the Lamb Window necessitated its total removal from our Sanctuary. It is resting comfortably (and horizontally) in Cohoes, undergoing total restoration. Watch our website for progress reports.

NEATNESS COUNTS
While we mourn the temporary loss of this treasure, the local artisans selected by our Property Committee have done an excellent job camouflaging the surgery in progress. No gaping wound - but a tasteful transition.

We can't wait for the rest of the work to commence. The clear plexiglass covers will once again let our light shine forth on Willett and State Streets.
